Kari O'Connell The goal of our Schoolyard LTER program is to connect Oregon K-12 teachers with Andrews LTER research to expand teachers’ capacity to guide students through field-based science inquiry inspired by Andrews LTER science, and to integrate reading and writing into their science teaching. This poster highlights long-term professional development programs for middle and high school educators at the Andrews LTER site, including the Research Experience for Teachers program, and the Researcher-Teacher Partnerships project which involves teachers in global climate change research.
